When visitors land on the home page there is around three seconds to capture the audience before they lose interest and click off to another site.

These days, there is no denying your website is your ‘shop window to the world’.

Any website will require updating and refreshing from time to time and web design should be looked at as an ongoing process rather than a one-off investment.

Before you talk to any web designers it is critical that you have a clear idea about the purpose and objectives of your new website and come up with a web spec. And this doesn't need to be complicated.

Customers are unlikely to enter a shop where the quality of goods can't be viewed through the window. Similarly, customers are more likely to move through a website site where the merchandise is on show at the start.

On the whole most small companies are online. If your company does not have a web presence you must ask; what impression does this give to potential customers?

Local web designer, Denison Design announced today it has just completed a full web re-design for the market leaders in exclusive custom made pigeon lofts: Petron Lofts.

"Our usual clients tend to fall into more traditional areas such as car dealerships or wine merchants," comments creative director of Denison Design, Tessa Dennison. "However, this project has been great fun and we have been able to create a really attractive and dynamic site for this specialist area."

The site which is now live at www.petronlofts.co.uk incorporates an ecommerce section - developed in partnership with local IT company BeSupported - in addition to an interactive quiz area and even a vet’s corner to answer pigeon fanciers’ questions on the health and well being of their birds.

"Having a professional looking website has never been more important," confirms Denison. "These days, it is your shop window for the world. So if you are interested in a website that gets your business flying high rather than ruffling your customers’ feathers then why not contact Denison Design?"
